The representative of the Department for Operations of President’s Commissioner on the issues of rehabilitation of combatants Natalia Zaretskaya said that 120 citizens of Ukraine are in custody in Russia and the Russian terroristic so-called Donetsk and Luhansk People’s Republics (DPR and LPR).
“We have about 120 people, both civilian and military, who are in detention centers on the territory of Russia, as well as the territory of the LPR and the DPR,” she said.
Zaretskaya has expressed confidence that the march in Kyiv in support of captured Ukrainians on June 1, was a very positive signal for their release. However, the psychological pressure on the families of prisoners and a media-buzz on this topic is a huge problem.
On April 15 the Russian Federal Security Service (FSB) extended the investigation period for the Ukrainian sailors until the end of August.
