President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko responded to those who criticize the authorities for participation in the opening of minor infrastructure facilities. He said it at a meeting of the Regional Development Council in Kyiv.
Poroshenko stressed that at present multiple infrastructure facilities are being constructed across the country. He also mentioned the efforts of the government to repair and build roads throughout Ukraine.
“Not only roads and bridges are being built. Hospitals, schools, kindergartens, social infrastructure facilities are being opened, renovated, and reconstructed. A lot of them are being built from scratch,” the president said.
Poroshenko used the moment to respond to those who criticize the authorities for participating in the opening of minor infrastructure facilities.
“Of course, there are Ukrainians-moaners, who will be unsatisfied even if the Trident [Ukraine’s coat of arms – ed.] is put atop the Kremlin… They tend to blast the president, the prime minister, the officials for cutting ribbons at minor local events. Of course, it would be more gorgeous to build a cosmodrome for intergalactic flights rather than a package factory. But we are making our first steps after a severe economic crisis caused by war. The war is far from over, although there is light at the end of the tunnel,” added Poroshenko.
