President Petro Poroshenko confirmed the release of two Ukrainians from the Russian captivity.
“Volodymyr Suprun and Yurii Zhemchuhov were released from the captivity. They will be provided with necessary medical assistance. We continue to struggle for the liberation of all Ukrainians,” Poroshenko wrote.
Zhemchuhov was held by the Putinists since autumn of 2015. He is not a soldier. He was captured after tripping a mine. The Putin’s terrorists accused him of subversive activities, and do not want to exchange him. Zhemchuhov’ hands were severed in the explosion. His eyes are wounded as well as stomach and thighs. Putinists have also accused him of undermining the railway tracks and power lines.
It was informed about apprehension of Volodymyr Suprun, the personal representative of the UN in Donetsk, on April 13. According to the Russian terrorist “DPR” he entered into the occupied territory without permission and was involved in the battles in the Donbas. The United Nations has called on Putin’s terrorists to immediately release Suprun.
