US Congress. Kiev reporter. News from Ukraine

On Thursday, September 19, the US Congress House of Representatives approved the allocation of $250 million to military assistance for Ukraine.

The military aid for Ukraine was stipulated in a bill on the temporary financing of federal government until November 21.

The document states that the allocation of funds to Ukraine will be continued in the new financial year, which begins on October 1 in the US.

The Senate is expected to consider the bill next week. Experts believe that the Senate will ratify the document and give it to President Donald Trump for signing.

On August 29 it was learned that the US President had ordered a revision of the military assistance for Ukraine. During the revision, the funds were frozen.

It was later learned that Kyiv is receiving financing through multiple Pentagon and State Department programs.
